Corporate Affiliated Research Institute(KOITA No. 2021116297)

AriBnC's Corporate Affiliated Research Institute was recognised by the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) in December 2021. It has two sites — the Yongin head office (principal site) and the UNIST Research Institute in Ulsan (secondary site) — where its research is carried out. Everything from study design to the assembly of regulatory documents stays inside one organisation.

What the institute does

Design, biostatistics and the EDC sit in one team, and the same team prepares the regulatory dossier.

The institute is the team that actually runs the studies AriBnC is contracted for. It writes protocols for health functional food human studies, drug trials, medical-device trials and nonclinical work, prepares the statistical analysis plan, builds and operates the EDC in-house, and designs the CRF. The outputs are monitoring records, datasets and study reports. Measured against the development stages — nonclinical (in vitro activity, in vivo mechanism, safety review, specification, marker compound, manufacturing process and analytical method), clinical (running human studies and trials), regulatory (preparing the MFDS submission and answering deficiencies) — the institute carries the research execution.

Where the institute sits, and its recognition

The Corporate Affiliated Research Institute has two sites: the Yongin head office (principal site) and the UNIST Research Institute (secondary site). The head office opened in September 2021 and was recognised as a Corporate Affiliated Research Institute in December 2021. Study design, biostatistics, EDC build and operation, CRF design and functional-ingredient research are carried out at Yongin; probiotic strain research is carried out at the UNIST Research Institute, opened in June 2024.

The AI-Bio Convergence Institute (ABCI) is a separate, independent organisation.

Facilities — what each site covers

Tell us the ingredient, the type of study and the target market, and we will come back with whether we can run it, which site would handle it (Yongin or UNIST), and which development stage it falls under — nonclinical, clinical or regulatory.
