Research institutes
AriBnC runs a number of research institutes.
AriBnC runs four research organisations: the R&D Institute, the Corporate Affiliated Research Institute, the UNIST Research Institute and the AI-Bio Convergence Institute (ABCI). The UNIST Research Institute is also the secondary site of the Corporate Affiliated Research Institute.
How AriBnC’s research institutes are organised
R&D Institute
Develops the company's own ingredients and products on its own research budget. It began with health functional food ingredients and now extends to medical devices and pharmaceuticals, covering screening through specification and marker compound, manufacturing process and analytical method, and dossier design. It is separate from the Corporate Affiliated Research Institute, and its data and documents are kept separate from contract work.

The institute that carries out the laboratory research on the probiotics AriBnC develops, and the secondary site of the Corporate Affiliated Research Institute. It develops probiotic strains by natural adaptation and selection, and carries out whole-genome sequencing, deposit and in-house lab-scale research.
Open UNIST Research InstituteModellingAI-Bio Convergence Institute (ABCI)
Founded in April 2026, ABCI researches and develops AI models aimed at improving health, drawing on biological and health data together with AI technology. In 2026 it was selected for a government R&D project, and it continues to file patent applications for the related technology.
