Accessibility

Information you cannot read is not information.

This site is built to the Korean Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (KWCAG) 2.2 and to WCAG 2.2 AA. Below are the measures in place and the items still being improved.

What this site does

Accessibility is the ordinary design here, not an add-on. There is no separate 'accessible version' of this site.

Keyboard

Everything works without a mouse

The menu, the language button, accordions and forms all respond to Tab, Enter and Escape. The focus indicator stands clear of the background, and a skip link to the main content is the first thing focus reaches.

Contrast

A contrast floor set for CJK type

Hangul and Han characters have finer strokes than Latin type, so the AA floor alone is not enough. Body text is held at 5.5:1 in Korean and 6:1 in Japanese and Chinese, and nothing conveys meaning by colour alone.

Motion

Motion can be switched off

If you have “reduce motion” switched on, transitions are removed and nothing moves by itself. Nothing flashes. On the home page the slogan changes every 5 seconds, the phrase band beneath it about every 4 seconds and the background photos about every 5 seconds; the pause button in the corner of the hero stops all three, and the dots beneath the band move between phrases. The research-scene photos further down change about every 4 seconds and have their own pause button, and photos also hold while the pointer or keyboard focus is on them. With “reduce motion” on, the slogans, phrases, photos and videos do not change or play by themselves. The demo video tours have a pause button too and stop after one full round.

Language

Assistive technology reads the right language

Each page declares its language in code, so a screen reader pronounces Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese correctly. When you change language, the button shows the language you chose.

What we are still improving

Each entry shows the current state, a workaround and the planned improvement.

Demo videosThe liver-wellness app demo videos are silent screen recordings without captions. Each scene is also described in its button label and alternative text.
Horizontal scrolling on some tablesWide comparison tables scroll sideways on a narrow screen.A table that overflows sideways takes keyboard focus and is announced to assistive technology as scrollable. Simplifying the column structure is still under review.

This list is updated at every review.
