Key track record
Projects approved or recognised by regulators, and the work AriBnC did in each. We currently work under contract with companies in the United States, Italy, India, China, Vietnam and other countries.
Digital therapeutic clinical trial plan approval (MFDS)
The MFDS approved the clinical trial plan for a digital therapeutic (medical device) for a central nervous system (CNS) disorder.
Medical device trialsIndividually recognised functional ingredient (MFDS)
Our own ingredient, black cumin extract (FJ; BCS-001F), was individually recognised as a functional ingredient for health functional foods (No. 2025-3).

Four areas of work
From ingredient development through to the regulatory stage in Korea and abroad, AriBnC carries out all the work required.

Contract research
We conduct drug trials, human studies of health functional foods and medical device studies. Protocol design, study conduct, monitoring and data management, biostatistical analysis, the study report, and EDC build and operation are carried out in-house by AriBnC, a KoNECT-registered CRO.
CRO services
Functional ingredient R&D
We design in vitro bioactivity evaluation, in vivo mechanism confirmation, the setting of specifications, marker compounds, manufacturing processes and analytical methods, and safety review as a single development path. Our key ingredients include black cumin seed extract powder (BCS-001F) and three probiotic strains developed by natural adaptation and selection at our UNIST Research Institute (the UNIST site of our Corporate Affiliated Research Institute).

AI-Bio Convergence Institute
Founded in April 2026, ABCI researches and develops AI models aimed at improving health, drawing on biological and health data together with AI technology. In the same year it was selected for a MOTIR national R&D programme, and it continues to file patent applications for the related technology.
About ABCI
Regulatory affairs
We assemble submission dossiers for four markets — Korea (MFDS), the US (FDA: GRAS, NDI), Canada (Health Canada: NHP) and the EU (novel food, health claims) — and handle deficiency responses, carrying out the RA work our clients' products need to enter markets in Korea and abroad.
Regulatory servicesAriBnC is a highly original and distinctive company whose work sits where three domains overlap
A company that covers only one domain cannot stand where AriBnC stands. We are a company that keeps opening up new domains.
Healthy Life
Why we do it
AriBnC handles the whole sequence itself: study design, the studies, statistical analysis and the study report, through to regulatory affairs (RA) in each target country, following the MFDS, US FDA, Health Canada (NNHPD) or EU pathway as required.
CRO servicesDiscovery & Development
What we develop
We invest our own funds in self-directed R&D, from health functional food ingredients through to medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
R&D InstituteAI
How we extend it
We develop AI models from the data our own research produces, and build AI models to our partners' specifications. At ABCI, the AI-Bio Convergence Institute, we are researching and developing a range of health-related AI models built on lifelog data, and we continue to file patent applications for this work.
